What to Expect at Your First Visit

Visiting a house church for the first time is simple and relaxed. Here's what you can typically expect:
A Warm Welcome
You'll be greeted personally by one of our Shepherds and introduced to everyone present. Our house churches are known for their hospitality and care for newcomers.
Worship & Bible Discussion
Rather than a formal service, expect conversational Bible discussion focused around the DBS (Discover Bible Study) process where questions are welcomed and everyone can contribute. Worship might include music, prayer, or other expressions of faith led by different members. We welcome all versions of the bible in our house churchs - you can learn alot from hearing different versions.
Shared Food and Drink
Most house churches include some form of shared food together. This creates natural conversation and helps everyone feel at ease. (No need to bring food your first timeājust come as you are!).
Authentic Relationships
You'll experience people sharing honestly about their lives and faith journeys. There's no pretense or performanceājust real people following Jesus together.

How many people attend house churches?
Most house churches in our network have 8-15 people, creating an intimate setting where everyone can participate and build relationships.

What about children?
Children are welcomed as valued members of house churches. Some activities may be tailored to different ages, but children are integrated into the life of the group rather than separated. "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." - Mathew 19:14

Do I need to prepare anything?
Just come as you are! No special knowledge, attire, or preparation is needed for your first visit. Many people bring a bible or a bible app, but it isn't a requirement.

What if there's no house church in my area?
If you don't find a house church near your location, you have two options: join our online gatherings until one becomes available in your area, or consider starting a house church with our support and training.
